PediaWorks: Most medical device firms refuse to make pediatric products due to the small market size. As a result, children fail to benefit from the latest advancements in medicine and suffer unnecessarily. PediaWorks is helping to change that.  Structured as a platform for the rapid development of new pediatric medical devices, its mission is to procure as many clinically-useful products as its resources will allow. Ideas for new products are generated through focused brainstorming sessions which integrate teams of physicians, nurses, engineers and business people. Product development is managed through a network of research institutions and contract engineering firms. PediaWorks currently has five products under development.
